Name of scheme

One year trade diploma course in canning and food conservation/bakery and confectionary/cookery (Culinary Skills) at state food science training center.

Introduction

In the state, on one hand where availability of agriculture and industry product is increasing and institutes for urbanization of population, industrialization, hotels and catering are developing throughout the year, on the other hand establishment of food processing industries is also on increase. With the objective to provide technically skilled manpower to the processing industries by providing training to educated unemployed youth in various streams of food science , catering institutes are functioning.

Objective

State food science training centers are established to fulfill the following motive-

  • To enhance the capability in establishment of food processing industries in state and to enhance the capability of already established industries.
  • To make the availability of well-equipped human resources at supervisory and management level so that they could carry out their responsibilities for private and public sectors.
  • To train housewives, fruit and vegetable producers and others for the consumption of local products and to change their food trend.
  • To pay attention to the quality and nutrition of processed food products for consumers’ safety interest and utilization.

10 zones of state (Meerut, Moradabad, Bareily, Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad)

Selection procedure

  • Admission in course will be on the basis of merit.
  •  Age- Candidate’s age should be between 18-25 years. For women there is no limit of upper age. Candidates nominated from SC/ST/Industrial units will be entitled for 3 year relaxation in upper age.
  •  Reservation Reservation policy issued by state government will be followed. Candidate availing reservation facility has to present photocopy of issued certificate.
  • After completion of the training, it will be compulsory for all to do 6 month vocational training on self-expense.
  • Selected candidates will have to present “Health Certificate” issued by Chief Medical Officer.
  • During the training program, selection of the candidates will be done by inviting online applications. Offline process will be continued till the online process is not started.

Training Fees

For every individual course allotted fees is Rs.1500 (Rs. Fifteen hundred only) which has to be submitted at the time of admission. This received fee will be deposited in state treasury.

Submission of applications

Advertisement for the admission in training will be published in various newspapers through Principal State food science training centers. If candidates from reserved categories could not appear then again admissions will be invited through advertisements and admission process will be done as per rules. After filling admission forms in prescribed time they will be made available to the related Principal State food science training center.

Combined monthly part time training course in Bakery and Confectionery, Cookery (Culinary Skills) at State food science training centers.

Introduction

On one hand where availability of agriculture and industry product is increasing and institutes for urbanization of population, industrialization, hotels and catering are developing rapidly, on other hand food processing industries are also enhancing. Giving food science related training to unemployed capable people with the motive to provide capable technical employees to catering organisations and food processing industries, is a way to fulfill the current need. This monthly part time training program is started with a motive to introduce people from recipes of different countries and states and to tell the art of making nutrition along with health standards in recipes lost their nutrition values.

Objective

State food science training centers are established to fulfil the following motive-

  • To enhance the capability in establishment of food processing industries in state and to cooperate them in capacity building of already established industries.
  • To provide the well-equipped human resources at supervisory and managerial level and to carry out their own responsibilities for private and public sectors.
  • To train housewives, fruit and vegetable producers and others for the consumption of local products and to change their food trend.
  • To pay attention to the quality and nutrition of processed food products for consumers’ safety interest and utilization.
  • To make the people technically skilled and aware for self-employment.

Selection Procedure

Application form will be received on the basis of first arrive-first in procedure at Food science training center, related Principal.

Training Fees

For admission, training fee Rs.100 and experimental fee Rs.200 means total Rs.300 will be collected from the selected candidates. This received fee will be deposited in state treasury.
