Name of the Scheme

Pradhan mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojna – Per Drop More Crop Micro Irrigation

Objectives :

• Quality production and increase in productivity by adopting drip and sprinkler irrigation system in horticulture and agricultural crops.
• Use of water as per age of saplings and requirement.
• Encouraging ground water harvesting in view of day to day fall in water levels.
• Reduction in use of chemical fertilizers / pesticides by using drip irrigation at the root of saplings and fertilizers and anti pest/disease chemicals.
• Encouraging horticulture crops on uneven and muriate fields by adopting drip irrigation system.

Beneficiary / Eligibility of the Scheme

• All categories of farmers are eligible for seeking the benefits of micro irrigation.
•  Applicant willing for implementation of the plan scheme and should have source of water of his own.
• In case of Cooperative/group farming, members of cooperative societies self-help groups, incorporated companies, panchayat raj institutions, NGOs, Trusts, growers associations will be entitled to avail financial assistance through their respective bodies.
• Such beneficiaries/Institutions which are involve in Contract Farming or do horticulture/farming on the land, taken on lease for minimum 7 years, will also have the benefits of the scheme.
• Same beneficiary farmer/organization will be permissible to get the benefits of scheme again, after 7 years.
• Beneficiary farmers should be able and have consent to bare the amount other than the subsidy either through their own or by loan.

How to get registered

• Interested beneficiaries may register themselves on the official web portal of Farmer Transparency Scheme www.upagriculture.com on the basis of “First Come First Serve”.
• For registration, farmer needs his Aadhar Number for his personal identification, Land Khatouni for identification of his land, and photo copy of the first page of his bank pass book for transfer of subsidy amount.

All districts of Uttar Pradesh are covered under the scheme.

Permissible acerage

Benefit under the scheme will be limited to maximum 5 hectare area to each beneficiary.Those benefiaciaries who have earlier taken subsidy under centre sponsored micro irrigation scheme will not be paid subsidy for setting up micro irrigation system on same land for the next seven years.

Selection of Manufacturing Firms

• Farmers have freedom to select any of the registered firm that manufactures Drip and Sprinkler irrigation system, for supply/installation work at their land.
• Manufacturing firms or their authorised dealers will have the compulsion to supply various components according to the standards of B.S.I. and minimum 3 years Free After Sales Service facility will be ensured.

Payment of subsidy

Based on the Self Pricing System of manufacturing firms, government has decided the unit cost. After physical verification by the district level committee, a subsidy grant against the unit cost will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary through D.B.T. (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Registered/impaneled manufacturing firms

The following manufacturing firms are registered for next 5 years for setting up and supply of drip, sprinkler systems and various components. The beneficiary farmer shall have freedom to get work done from any registered firm or by their authorised /dealers/distributors on the firm’s self-pricing system rate list. The registered firms are as follows :-
